Screening of Lithuanian films „Master and Tatyana“, „I’m not from here“ takes place in Baku, as well as the meetings with their director Giedrė Žičkytė
On the initiative of the Embassy of Lithuania in Baku, Lithuanian documentary film director Giedrė Žičkytė is visiting Azerbaijan. During her visit, her film screenings are organised, as well as meetings with Azerbaijani film critics, art students and general amateurs of documentary films.
In the evening of 14 May 2018, both Azerbaijanis and foreigners living in Baku, including members of Lithuanian community, came to the screening of „Master and Tatyana“, which took place in the cinema hall, located in the symbol of Baku – Flame Towers. The film has been screened within the framework of the European film festival on the subject of tolerance „Imagine“.
On 16 May 2018, students of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts are invited to the master class of Giedrė Žičkytė. In the evening of the same day, in cooperation with Azerbaijani Cinematographic Institute, CinemaPlus and Cinema Distribution Azerbaijan, a screening of her recent film, co-directed with Maite Alberdi (Chile), „I’m not from here“, will be organised to the community of Azerbaijani cinematographic.
