Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Baku is starting to use the Visa Information System
As of 11 May 2015, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Baku is starting to use the Visa Information System (VIS). The applications for visa, which will be submitted on 11 May 2015 and later, are to be filled in online at https://visa.vrm.lt/epm/ and printed. Please take note that as of 1 June 2015 the applications filled in with other means will not be accepted.
As of 23 June 2015, applicants submitting their documents at the Embassy will be requested to submit their fingerprint biometric data, as provided for in the timetable of VIS development, adopted by the European Council on 6 February 2015.
The VIS is required to implement the Regulation (EC) No 767/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 July 2008 concerning the Visa Information System (VIS) and the exchange of data between Member States on short-stay visas. It is gradually installed in the embassies and consular posts of Schengen countries.
