Celebrating the centenary of re-establishment of the State of Lithuania in Azerbaijan
The centenary of the Republic of Lithuania has been commemorated in Azerbaijan as well. On 20 February 2018 at the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall the Embassy of Lithuania in Baku has organized a concert by Veronika Povilionienė and Dainius Pulauskas, connecting Lithuanian folk song traditions and contemporary music style, the history of Lithuania and the vision of its future.
The guests could also visit a photo exhibition of Diana Garbačiauskienė and Leonas Garbačiauskas “Manors of Lithuania”.
On behalf of Azerbaijan, Lithuania was congratulated by Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova. Ambassador of Lithuania in Azerbaijan Valdas Lastauskas thanked the honourable guests and underlined the strength of Lithuania in partnership with its EU and NATO partners, as well as the importance of the bilateral relations between Lithuania and Azerbaijan.
