From 2nd of October Lithuanian Embassy in Baku will be representing Finland in issuing a short-term Schengen (C) visas. Citizens of Azerbaijan and third-country nationals residing (having residence permit) in the Republic of Azerbaijan who want to travel to Finland can apply for a visa via VFS Global visa center in Baku https://visa.vfsglobal.com/aze/en/ltu/book-an-appointment.

Consular news »From 2023 July 1 applications for national visas will be submitted only through an external service provider selected by the Department of Migration under the Ministry of the Interior (in Baku – VFS Global center) .
Applications for the issuance of national visas for the purpose of employment in the Republic of Lithuania are not longer accepted or processed at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Azerbaijan (exept only if they are received before June 16, 2023 ). Applications for the issuance of national visas for other purposes will be processed at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Azerbaijan only if they are received before June 30, 2023 (i. e. submitted at Lithuanian visa center in Azerbaijan before June 29, 2023).
Decisions on national visa are made at the institutions where the applications were submitted.

The photo exhibition “ Year of Invincibility” depicting the live in Ukraine before and during the war was presented.
Addressing the audience Ambassador of Lithuania Egidijus Navikas and the Ambassador of Ukraine Vladyslav Kanevskyi noted the importance of not getting tired of the ongoing war and further support of Ukraine.

Activities of the Minister of Foreign Affairs » Multilateral Relations »Today, at the signing ceremony of the high-level week of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, on behalf of Lithuania, signed the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction. Lithuania is among the 52 countries that have joined the High Ambition Coalition on BBNJ. The signing of the agreement, together with other member states of the European Union, will allow the ratification process to begin.
